In this lesson we go further to replace sugar as our fuel (and a major cause of our fat gain) with the incredible, edible, healthy fat. Read on and prepare to do things different.
In the West, when it’s time to diet, fats are typically the first thing to go.
As you walk down the grocery store aisles, everything is “low-fat”, or XX% percentage less fat. We’re obsessed with low-fat foods; it gives us the excuse to eat candy, cookies, and all of the junk that satisfies that sugar rush or salt craving BECAUSE it has “less fat”. While the low-fat snack options are on the rise, so are the obesity rates. News Flash: Fat free does NOT mean healthy!! While the labels read “fat free”, the contents are typically full of sugar and refined carbs. Who would have guessed low fat twizzlers, and baked potato chips wouldn’t result in a six-pack??? ?
If you want your body to look great, it has to be functioning great. For that to happen, we start by replacing the “food like” products we’ve been conditioned to eat with premium human fuel. We started that with the last lesson, and we’re continuing with this lesson.
